I absolutely love sitting outside in my hammock, with a book in hand and the sunshine on my face. Even though our backyard is a small space, it's very green and peaceful. The only bad thing are the mosquitoes when they come out at dusk!! Then I have to quickly run back inside. I took these photos a while back, wearing something simple but comfortable, about to go to a friend's bbq.

I know all around the world AW '11 fashion shows have already begun and true to Melbourne style the weather was freezing today for the first official day of autumn. However, I am feeling reminiscent of summer still and hoping the sunny days are not over yet. Apologies and Love

It's been far too long since my last post, I apologise. So let me catch you up on what I have been doing, which is the main reason for my absence. Just under a month ago I started full time work after finishing my university degree at the end of last year. It's very exciting, but exhausting at the same time (shift work is not easy). I find myself either working or sleeping, and any free time I do have is spent with my boyfriend, family or friends. The fact that my work requires me to wear a uniform I have also been uninspired with outfits, preferring to jump into my pyjamas as soon as I get home. Tragic I know. 


Now that I am more settled into my job though, I am going to make an effort to spend more time on my blog and the two will just have to learn to live harmoniously. 


I leave you with some belated Valentine's Day images which makes me feel so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life...

This is what I saw when I walked into my room after work on Valentine's... Such a lovely surprise. And a creative alternative to the usual bouquet of flowers I thought :)

Although a lot of people may not like to celebrate Valentine's Day and believe it is a money-making scam, I like to think that it doesn't have to be an expensive extravaganza. A hand picked bunch of flowers or a home cooked meal with candles, or perhaps a picnic at a favourite destination is such a lovely way to celebrate in my opinion. And sometimes, in the hustle and bustle of life, I think we forget to appreciate the people we love, so it's nice to have a day to remind us to say "I Love You". 

Best Pizza in Town

The other weekend I met my boyfriend in the city for some drinks and dinner. He took me to a pizzeria on Little Bourke Street called +39. I love this place and the pizza there is soooo yummy. It's always busy (so you know it's good) and I love the genuine Italian service (some of the waiters barely speak english!). I've been wanting to try one of their nutella calzones for dessert ever since he first took me there, but deciding we didn't feel like something so rich, opted for the "Sweet pizza" instead, with strawberries and nutella. Let me tell you, I'm not sure whether it was the few glasses of wine I had already or the fact I was quite hungry, but it was AMAZING!!

Fashiolista

So I discovered Fashiolista today and I am already completely addicted! At least now my endless online "window" shopping appears to have more of a purpose :)


For those of you who haven't heard of Fashiolista, it's a great new website where you can share all your fabulous fashion finds and personal style with other users and friends. And it's really quite easy to use... All you do is browse through the thousands of fashion finds or save your own from almost any online fashion shop and simply "love" the item with the click of a button and voila! the item is added to a collage on your profile page :) It makes for a great shopping list (however unaffordable the item) or just even a great source of inspiration!

Floral Frenzy

Such crazy weather we've been having... warm, cold, rain, humid, more rain, cold, hot... it can't decide what to do!  The other day summer finally decided to show itself and I had the chance to wear one of my new dresses. I've gone a bit crazy for florals at the moment but I think they're just so pretty :) What do you think of the assymetrical bottom? I wasn't sure at first, but now I really like it.
